There are my Windows 7 looks messy at mean times. So I decided to be a great if one could just create a Windows XP type of a toolbar that could be used in Windows 7 too. I hope it is mind well, I am not necessarily favoring any old version of windows. But it is universal and I am aware change is the universal law of the nature.
Create Windows XP Style Toolbar
In this, as such, we should welcome change rather than resisting it. So I intended to place a tragic to a duplicate the design from window XP to windows 7. So now all about providing our users with different options that they deem fit to use with favouring for their lifetime.
Let’s go on the point, it is one of my first and favorite steps for windows XP to create a toolbar can be used in windows 7 too, with a minor modification. This can help you to clear up your desktop clutter too. Here’s how to go about on.
Step 1 of 2
TaskbarAnd Start Menu
- Right click on the start menu.
- Choose properties.
- Select taskbar
- Click on Uncheck.
Part 2 of 2
My Toolbar
- Right click on the desktop.
- Create a new folder.
- Name it My Toolbar.
Now you should put all the shortcuts which you’d like to appear in this folder.
You can also now drag it to any extreme side of your screen.
Say, drag it to the top of your screen, it will take the form of a thin horizontal strip.
You may drag your desktop items onto it, now too.
- Right click on it.
- Select how you want it to behave.
- Check on ‘Show Large Icons’.
- Check on ‘Autohide’.
- Uncheck on ‘Show title’.
- Uncheck on ‘Show text’.
In the next click on OK and apply.
That’s it!
